Adrian Mutu, from assist to goal

After crossing for Adriano's net in Sunday's match against Udinese, Adrian Mutu scored his first strike in a Gialloblu shirt against Cska Moskva: 'An important goal for Parma which gave us hope to win the match, before Popov equalizer'.

MOSCOW- Adrian Mutu is the hero of this Gialloblu starting season. Assist-man and man of the match in Parma's Serie A opener against Udinese, in Moskow the Rumanian forward scored crashing a right-footed strike on a free-kick past Nigmatullin.
'I hope people won't just remember this game for my free-kick', he says to acparma.com. 'Parma had many shots to goal. My scoring on a set piece is not a worthy reward for a team which deserved to win'.
At the Tardini the music will change... 'I don't want to be too optimistic, but I think that if we play the return match as we did in the first leg, we will absolutely go through', the Rumanian says. 'We had the complete control of the play and with two more weeks of training, we'll further improve our football'.
Mutu has actually been at Parma for just eight days. 'If I had already managed to fit in, I must thank my coach and team-mates. They have made me feel at home here. We get on well and this's important to express a good football on the pitch'.
