Mutu: 'Youth faults'
'The draw with Perugia comes from our inexperience', it's Adrian Mutu's post-match analysis. 'We are going on the right way, with some more attention we'll achieve great results'.
Adrian Mutu has scored his first Serie A goal in a Parma shirt, after his Uefa Cup tally. But he doesn't manage to give the Gialloblu a win. 'Such a young team as ours can have this kind of difficulties', he says acparma.com. 'We must learn to hold the lead and avoid just attacking for 90 minutes. We register a lot, it's positive, but you need to be able to control the game as well'. A déjà-vu of Turin match? Mutu doesn't agree: 'We all know how that game ended. This time we didn't manage to make our three points also because we were a bit tired. We had spent many energies in the Uefa Cup against Cska Moskva, especially in the second half. I was exhausted as I came out on the pitch after the break and then I had to be replaced'. Despite the result, the Romanian midfielder praises the team: 'Although we didn't manage to win, we are going the right way. In this start of the season we have made some good performances, playing well and scoring a lot. If we go on with this attitute, we won't fail'. Serie A is going to have a pause, but Mutu won't rest. 'Now I expect to be called up to my National side. Romania will play two Euro 2004 qualifiers and I hope to do well as I'm doing with Parma. I hope we'll win both matches... it'll be of good omen for me and the club'.
