Parma go through
(Parma 3-2 Cska Moskva)

Adrian Mutu's 90th-minute winner gives Parma the possibility to go through to the second round of the Uefa Cup, as they gain a 3-2 win over Cska Moskva at the Tardini

PARMA- A last minute goal by Adrian Mutu gave Parma the possibility to go through to the second round of the Uefa Cup. The Gialloblu grasped a 3-2 win over Cska Moskva in the return match at the Tardini, after a 1-1 draw in the first leg.
Parma started well with Adriano opening the scoring after only eight minutes: the Brazilian forward hit a perfect free-kick from outside the penalty area to give Nigmatullin no chance. But, just before the half-time break, the Russians first levelled and then turned the tie around in the space of six minutes through Sergei Semak.
Before Mutu bursted out and scored his decisive double: the Rumanian fired home a deflected 65th minute equaliser and then, in the very dying stage, he controlled a Frey's long kick before turning to strike a fine shot beyond Nigmatullin. It was Parma's winner.
