Mutu: European protagonist

The Romanian champion is the protagonist in a long interview on Uefa.com, the official website of the European Soccer Federation. 'Our goal -he explains- is certainly to qualify for Coppa Uefa and I hope we can accomplish it.'

The goals, the magic, the dribbling at home in Parma has captivated all and Mutu is a star at the European level. His grand actions in the Romanian National Team jersey, his goals in Gialloblu this year have painted the first page of Uefa's official website (Uefa.com); a spot that is only reserved to champions that compete in the Champions League. Mutu is the well deserving exception.
'Our goal is certainly to qualify for Uefa Cup and I hope we can accomplish it.' He then added: 'The Italian teams have this year demonstrated that they can compete in Europe, four out of four Italian teams have qualified for the second round of Uefa Champions League. I think there has been a change in attitude: in this season the Italian squads play a more offensive game and you can see the results.'
On his grand performance in Gialloblu, Mutu confides in uefa.com: 'To be honest, I have to say that there is no secret, one has to only look to do his best. I depend on the presentations of the squad, and my teammates are playing very well. With out their support, I would have not been able to score all these goals. I can only look to convert the crosses and the passes that I receive and that fortunately my teammates give me with regularity .'

Mutu continues about Parma and about Italy: 'I am here for a few years and the life makes me happy -he stated on Uefa.com- Not only as a professioonal soccer player, but also as a person and this is essential to continue to play at a high level. I am use to Italian life and also this, obviously, is an advantage. Parma is a great-little city and the team is very well organized.'
