Three points towards Uefa
(Parma-Udinese 3-2)

Thanks to the magic of Adriano, Nakata and Barone (his first goal in Serie A) Parma beats 3-2 Udinese and rises to the Uefa zona. For the Friulani goals in the second half by Pizarro and Jankulovski, but also a missed penalty in the first minutes of play. Expelled: Ferrari and Kroldrup

Parma takes an important step towards Uefa with a 3-2 victory over Udinese. Adriano scored in the twelfth minute of play, and Parma added two more in the second half with goals by Simone Barone, his first in Serie A, and Hidetoshi Nakata, with five minutes left in the match.
Udinese, confirmed their strong character as they tried to even up the score with goals by Pizarro and Jankulovski, but Parma stayed strong as they formulated numerous counter-attackes off the foot of Mutu.
Parma played for most of the match with ten men on the pitch because of the expullsion of Matteo Ferrari in the 22'. The decision of Rodomonti was highly contested by the Parma bench. Udinese also found themselves one man down thanks to the expullsion of Kroldrup in the second half.
Now Parma is sixth in the classification, three points from Chievo and Verona. The victory over Udinese leaves a good taste: the taste of the Coppa Uefa.
