Mutu: 'We are ont he right path'


Adrian Mutu is already thinking about the match Sunday against Como: We are surely on the right path to do something important this season. My objectives? It is a good year for improving our quality and I have the intention to continue until the completion of the Parma project.'

COLLECCHIO- Adrian Mutu is great, but stays, as trainer Cesare Prandelli asks, with both feet on the ground.
'We are surely on the right path to a good season -states Adrian Mutu- But we still have not obtained anything and we cannot, actually we must not lose our heads. We need to continue with the same spirit that we have displayed since the beginning of 2003. We are doing well, but I repeat, there is still a lot to do.'
It is the season for Adrian to get the recognition he deserves...
'It is a good and lucky year. But I have to cross a lot more paths. Parma is giving me a great occassion for my career and I am ready to follow the project that the Parma club has created for this group. In three years we can reach an important finish line, and I have the intention of being there until the end, why not, also others.'

  • Can Parma already start thinking about the 'zona Uefa?'
    'Now there is no sense to think of these things, it would be an error to look too far ahead. We need to struggle, to fight, because to be among the first few teams in Serie A is not an easy thing. It would be a grave error to consider us already in 'zona Uefa.' We need to be more consistent than we have been until now.'
    Bonera and Ferrari will be missing from the Parma line-up. A problem for Parma?
    'I don't think we will have problems. We have an ample roster and there are a great deal of possibilities at the disposition of the trainer. The substitutes have demonstrated time after time that they can play in place of Bonera Ferrari. Sunday with Udinese for example, Paolo Cannavaro did very well.'
